Pick & Shovel

It has good building material I suppose. Good for maybe some tourists passing through as they have a little gift shop. I do like the cute toy selection and the outdoor gear selection is good quality. Some things are a little over priced and the staff could be friendlier.

Have been going here for years getting whatever I've needed from clothing to pet supplies to hardware. Was happy to find the lumber yard also has a second building with seasonal items and was able to grab some grill parts, some floats for the lake and a fire pit and other outdoor supplies as well.

A unique general store that is easy to get lost in! Sometimes they offer free popcorn. You may find items here that you cannot find anywhere else. Their prices go up as tourists come to the area (often). You may find good clothing items on sale (upstairs). They usually have a variety of pets for sale upstairs too (including fish) that children enjoy looking at. During summer the cremee (soft serve ice cream store) ”Tim & Doug’s”, that is attached to the building is open. I recommend getting a ”small.” That will be a large ice cream ????????.

When you want to buy hardware items you go with a list in mind. Then you arrive and there are an abundance of helpful employees when ask if you need something. Unlike big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's, Pick and Shovel gives excellent customer service when having a huge selection of items. But it gets better, there ice cream stand is a delicious way to relax after the stress of buying hardware items. The price if the ice cream is so reasonable it blows you away.
