Not one of the best state parks in Washington State but it is good enough for communing with nature or just to have a whiff of the salty, fresh air coming from the ocean. The public restrooms are very surprisingly clean though. We did not see any sealife but we did see seagulls and red robins. Such a delightful visit!
Beautiful! Fun place to run around with the kids, exploring tide pools. If you go south on the Chuckanut, stop at Bow Blueberries. The kids (and you) can get fresh blueberry ice cream!
First time on the Two Dollar trailer to Fragrance Lake. Loved it. Plenty of up hill along with plenty of views of Chuckanut Bay and a pretty waterfall. Continued up Double Diamond trail to Cyrus Gates overlook. One long, steep mile. All in all, a great 9 1/4 mile hike in the PNW drizzle.
This is my favorite beach in Whatcom County! It's unbelievably beautiful! They have a very nice park for kids to play, and lots of room for them to run. Beautiful hiking trails around the water. Gorgeous place to watch the sunset!
Its a very good park. Is it a great park? Probably not. I would have liked a bit less rubbish, a few more informative signs to stare at. It has potential. Nice part of the world.
