There is so much to love about this wonderful island and the library is part of that. Such kind, helpful folks.
The busiest per capita library in the state. Good selection of books. Great staff. New expansion.
Very helpful librarians, great selection of books, bith print & recorded.
OIPL is just finishing a new wing on the Library. Orcas Island Public Library offers Computers and Wifi for free and use of a printer for minimal cost in addition to checking out books. OIPL also has a conference room that can be used for organizations wanting to educate the public on just about anything. OIPL also allows people to display their art or collections in the Foyer upon entering the building. Volunteers are encouraged to apply.
IMHO the best public library in San Juan County, though Lopez and San Juan libraries are quite good too. Vibrant community center with good open WiFi access. The Friends association is most active and apparently provides substantial funds to support book purchases
