Orcas Island Airport

I have had to go to Orcas Island many times for business - and it is always a pleasure because I fly ! What a view ! Car rental is easy too . The local agency leave the paperwork and keys on the passenger seat ... not like a big city :-)

Love this airstrip despite being windy/gusty all the times! :)

Great annual fly-in first weekend in August. Camping on field, pancake breakfasts, burger burn, car show, short walk to Eastsound for shops and a farmers market.

So peaceful camping at the airport. Nice clean grounds, well maintained. BBQ grill and picnic table next to camp area.

Fun adventure airport. Short walk to Eastsound with lots of good food and accommodations. Camping available at the airport for GA pilots. Talk to the staff at the office if you have any questions or need ideas of things to do on the island. They are very helpful and pleasant.
