Hardened Arms

I am extremely pleased with my new 18" 6.5 Grendel Barrel QPQ 12" HD Quad Rail Upper w/BCG, CH 10rd Mag. This is my first ar15, so I was not sure where to start. After researching for a couple months I settled on this package from Hardened Arms. It took about 4 and a half weeks to ship, but it was worth the wait. The upper came assembled and was a snug fit on my Spike's Tactical built lower. I mounted an old nikon 3x9x40 scope and went to the range this last weekend. The rifle more than exceeded my expectations. I had a sub 2in group at 100yds after 9 shots. I put a total of 40 shots through it and it was awesome!
I did run into an issue with it feeding the first round from the 10 rd magazine each time I loaded it. The forward vertical face of the magazine was offset where the the 2 pieces of metal overlapped, which caused the offset 1/8in of metal to catch the first bullet as it was being fed by the BCG. But I pulled out my leatherman and filed it smooth and then it fed every round no problem! I would highly recommend buying from Hardened Arms, they build a quality product and I look forward to my next purchase from them! (It’ll probably be a lighter handguard….the 12in quad rail is a little heavy on the 18in barrel!)
