“Can't speak for all those negative reviews, but my wife and I have been coming to Orcas for some fifteen years and Karen has been nothing but helpful and totally professional. Handling all those rentals is an enormous and difficult job, but she is up to the task. Would not consider renting from anyone else. We totally trust and appreciate the people at Cherie Lindholm Real Estate, to the point that we bought a property on the island through them. Agent John Erly was a tremendous help, and he does not abandon you once the sale is made. Can't speak highly enough of his service and character.”

“This place is amazing. The cabin is lovely and cute, and the experience of waking up to the sunrise in your own private little cove is nothing short of breathtaking. Sandy and Carl are fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable, and simply great hosts. You will not regret staying here. Amazing.”

“We had an absolutely fabulous time staying on Lopez island in this home on the water. We could have spent more time exploring other spots on the island, but this area was so nice we didn't want to leave. The house was perfect for a group of friends, including 3 girls. I recommend it highly!”

“This is the 3rd year we've stayed at Bracken Fern, and will continue to keep requesting this as our base on Orcas. Excellent location and convenient to ferry landing, downtown Eastsound, Cascade Lake, Moran Park. Home is always in wonderful condition, super comfy beds, large yard and fire pit plus jacuzzi. All amenities to make either a short or long stay most enjoyable. Owners are conscientious, helpful, and always responsive.”

“This location has been a cherished favorite for myself and family, for many many years. The setting feels remote, but is accessible by land, sea and air. The area is boasts SO many choices for outdoor adventure! And if you choose it for simple peace and quiet in an extraordinary natural setting, you will feel as if you hit the jack pot. I can't wait to return to this soul soothing retreat, in any season of the year.”

“Can I give it 10 stars? What a wonderful family vacation home. Exceptional. Inviting. Relaxing. Single story living with an inviting great room and deck as well as a kitchen stocked to cook any ingredient we bought locally. Love all the windows, especially the view in the enormous sky lights, day or night. The beds were very comfortable. It felt like our own little slice of Heaven on an amazing island.”

“We absolutely LOVED getting to stay in this property! The kitchen was well equipped for all the cooking we did, the beds were super cozy + all the furniture was new. Overall the space is so gorgeous! We loved getting to use the hot tub in the evening and playing pool during some down time at the house. The location of the property was perfect for hiking at Moran State Park + popping into town for ice cream or window shopping. We can't wait to come back!”

“Went on a sunset tour, Tim was a great guide. We saw lots of wildlife and Tim was able to tell us what everything was and was also knowledgeable of the animals behavior. I highly recommend the sunset tour. I got lots of great photos and would upload some but dropped my phone into the harbor when we got back. Nice group of people to work with. One of the managers (Cary) met us there the next morning with a diving mask to borrow so I could try and get it back. Unfortunately I didn't retrieve it.”

“We stayed in the Cannery Inn. Great views and clean, but the walls are so thin we could hear the people next to us snoring! We felt like we were staying in a cardboard box.”

“If you are thinking of biking the San Juan Islands with an outfitter, these are your people. This is a local group and this is all they do. That means you get people who know and love this area, and a trip at a much more affordable rate than the others we price. We went on a 4 day camping trip in August. It was fabulous!! Our guide was a delightful ball of energy and a fantastic cook. The food was fantastic, they really read our bios and planned meals accordingly. Most clean eating vacation I have ever had. The camp grounds were very nice, tents and sleeping bags that were provided were great. We loved biking around the islands, which were stunningly beautiful, and stopping at all the interesting places. The rides were hillier than I anticipated. I could have trained more for them. If I had it to do over again, I would have upgraded to a road bike. Hope to go back again.”

“Fabulous Sunset Sail on Sunday May 26th! The weather cleared to beautiful sunshine and we had both enough wind to be under full sail, and calm at sunset for incredible pictures. The crew was helpful and fun and we would definitely do this again! The last ferry leaves at 10:05pm, so there's time to grab a bite to eat afterwards or pack snacks to eat on the boat. This was awesome!”

“My wife and I went with Orcas Island Sailing last week for sailing lessons with Nat. What a great experience. Nat is extremely knowledgeable, personable, and a very good teacher. We had little experience and left with a good understanding of the basics. Not to mentioned the beauty and wonder that are the San Juans. We will be back!”

“We enjoyed a lovely short stay here at the beginning of December 2017. Jim & Betsy could not have been more helpful. Wonderful room with fantastic views over to the mainland. We had a horse ride on the day we checked out and were offered the room for a little longer to come back and shower and freshen up before we headed back to the ferry. This is a beautiful property. Well kept. and a lovely place to stay. I'm sure we will be back to come and see the Whales in the future. Thank you.”

“My family has spent a number of wonderful vacations at Point Thompson House in the past few years, but it appears to be off the rental market. The rental agent is saying the owners have no plans to rent it in the foreseeable future, and the web site has been decommissioned. Very sad. This was my favorite place to stay on Orcas.”

“You must call and reserve a cruise with Judy and Robin immediately! We just went to Orcas for a family trip and went with them on their boat for a sunset cruise. It was the highlight of our trip for sure! Robin and Judy are great hosts, offering lots of information and history about the area, but they were also great about letting us just visit with eachother, too. They have really got a wonderful system, lots of exploring, a tasty dinner, great conversation, and a wonderful sunset viewing spot! We really can't say enough, this was a total bargain and a superb evening! Call now!”

“Fairy-like ... Google says to describe our experience. Describe?! how often can you remember the details of a beautiful dream? It was just fairy-like ... surrounded by all the marvelous art of Mr. Nowak and Mother Nature. The house has everything, we had memorable meals looking at the masterpiece on the table or the fountain outside. The lights were just heavenly. The views are spectacular, and we took long walks from the house - as it has a great location. We will be back - soon, I hope. We stayed from 09-16 June 2017.”
