My wife and I were really happy and impressed with all the service we had at the Bellingham OB/GYN. They were really respectful of our beliefs, our desires, our pregnancy plan and delivery. They took the time to treat us as actual human beings with dignity and respect, instead of like a number on a page. (This is so often not the case with health care providers.) From the desk staff to the nurses to the doctors we felt cared about and respected. They are also very competent at what they do. From beginning to end of the process we felt we were in good hands.
I have never in my live experienced such caring and dedicated service as I have at Bellingham OBGYN.
It's a little difficult to review this place since you see so many different providers in the clinic with your pregnancy. So i'll try to break it down.
In general, this office is pretty good. I was a bit nervous about having male docs (not because of pelvic exams but mainly due to weird experiences in the past with stand offish, rude and uncompassionate male gynecologists). It would be nice to have the same doc through the whole pregnancy to labor but as a nurse, i TOTALLY get why that's not feasible with call schedules.
Dr. Mora (male) was the only doc i hadn't met through my pregnancy and he happened to be on call when my water broke. We both laughed about it, and i cannot tell you HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS GUY. He was amazing. He was compassionate when i needed it, and stern when i needed it. He explained himself well and joked to lighten the mood. It was exactly what i needed for a LONG ASS labor.
I saw all of the other docs through my pregnancy and they were all great. The only one I avoid is Dr. Justiss, she was pretty stand offish and kind of rude when i asked questions (I saw her twice and that was enough for me to know to avoid her) and didn't really answer questions well but i didn't want to even bother asking clarifying questions. I thought maybe i was over reacting (hello hormones) but even my husband said he would prefer if we saw someone else. But it's usually fine to just ask for a different provider since there are so many others.
In summary, I totally recommend, just know it can have it's faults since you have so many practitioners to work with. I believe they're the best option in Bellingham unless you choose the midwife route!
Hope this review helps!
Dr Mora delivered my identical twin girls in July 2015. He was very professional and caring. Although I had a very high risk pregnancy that resulted in me needing to be seen by boga and University of WA maternal fetal specialists. He always went the extra mile to make me feel like my pregnancy was in good hands. I would see him again in future pregnancy.
