My husband had a vasectomy today (Friday) at Bellingham Urology. He had his consult and made this appointment with the receptionist on Wednesday. As most men would admit, this procedure causes a rather high amount of anxiety and we made sure to have extra help with child care and time off work to make sure he rested and healed. Turns out, when he arrived, his name wasn’t on the schedule and his appointment hadn’t actually been made two days prior. The receptionist, sensing my husband’s nerves (that perhaps he would be delaying the inevitable) told him she was sorry but he wasn’t scheduled... but not to worry as she’d go talk to her staff to make sure he would be accommodated.

It was clear that they were not expecting him, at 4:00pm on a Friday, to walk in and have his procedure done. But the whole staff rallied and made sure my husband had his vasectomy. The receptionist apologized profusely, not only to us but to her coworkers. No one seemed put out by the extra snip snip at the very end of a week. No one complained and everyone supported each other with a laugh and exceptional teamwork.

Thank you Amy for making sure we were seen and for being so gracious in your apology! If we ever need to make a recommendation to friends for this wonderful procedure we will be sure to recommend Bellingham Urology!

Not a fun procedure by any means, but made bearable by the great team at Bellingham Urology Group, I would recommend them, highly....

Dr. Orton has proven to be a godsend in terms of resolving my medical condition. His medical expertise is comprehensive and is able to provide you with all of the most up to date treatments and alternatives. His understanding and willingness to work with you to provide you with the most comfortable treatment is unsurpassed. Moreover, during my times of hospital stays the hospital staff always had words of praise for him in terms of his medical expertise and personal treatment and compassion for his patients. Look no further than Dr. Orton in finding the best of the best. As excellent as Dr. Orton was for me, credit should also be given to everyone in his office staff. All of them granted patience, understanding and unrelenting attention to my questions and needs and were always immediately available to answer your questions and advise accordingly. They always followed up on a timely basis for answers and assistance. Of particular assistance and comfort to me were Mariah and John, they both made my treatments much easier and comforting. The professionalism and thoroughness of his staff are a true reflection of how Dr. Orton cares for his patients and I thank Dr. Orton and his staff for seeing me through my treatment.

I wanted to let everyone know what a wonderful experience we had with Dr. Pettit, and staff. From first contact regarding vasectomy reversal, to beyond immediate post op, our experience has been wonderful. Anna Marie has been instrumental, helpful, and incredibly patient with me and all my questions. The nurses were patient with me being in the way during recovery, and very attentive to his needs. We felt like we were cared about, and not just $$$. We would recommend BU to everyone! Thank you!!
