Gentle Dental Sehome Village

We recently moved to Bellingham area from Illinois. I cracked a molar tooth in my right lower jaw the other day, so started looking for a local dentist to deal with it. Based on the on-line reviews of the local Gentle Dental in Sehome Village, I called them up, made an appointment to have them look at it, which they did, I was very impressed and pleased with their professional care, and even more impressed and happy that I was able to get this tooth taken care of the next day, which took 2 1/2 hours. I was again very impressed and pleased with and thankful for the professional treatment that I received, which was even better than the previous dental care I had back in Illinois, which I was very happy with. I am very glad to have found a great dentistry practice here in the Bellingham area!!

Everyone was exceptionally nice, informative, helpful, and very professional. I especially appreciated the level of information they presented and walking me through my options.

Dr. Schick is great at her job. I got some cavities filled and I barely felt the pinch of the needle. She makes sure you’re numbed enough and always asks if you’re comfortable. Today she called to make sure my fillings were feeling okay.
Normally I am terrified of the dentist but here I feel very safe, and only a little nervous of the big needle.

I was scared of going to the dentist before I found this place, but I definitely feel cared for and Dr Schick and the rest of the staff have done everything they can to make it a more comfortable experience, from giving me specific signals to use to stop them if I felt pain, to offering to put extra topical numbing on my gums when I got a cleaning, they are very friendly and caring and it really helps! They also have a pretty flexible schedule (open on Saturdays!) and I started going there on their payment plan before I got insurance, staggering my appointments so they fit with when I got paid / could pay. I walked away from my first appointments feeling excited and triumphant because I finally felt like getting all my cavities filled was possible and wouldn't even be painful or scary! Definitely would recommend to anyone, but especially anyone who has had bad experiences with other dentists or has anxiety about going to the dentist.

My wife and I have been very happy with the level of service we have received from Dr. Bailey, and the team. The condition of my mouth has been a concern for a number of years, and everyone approached it with care and concern, addressing the issues, and providing a plan of solution.

I would recommend them if you don't want the normal, staid dental experience, they are engaging, good banter, feels home-like..
