Jimmy is a real good guy. He greeted me as soon as I walked in the door, and stayed with me during my visit, even tried helping me get my new wiper blades on. He was only able to change one of them because the other one wouldn't come loose. He was honest and told me he would rather not try any more because he was afraid of damaging my car. And he gave me a few tips on how to get the old one off. Later, I managed to get it changed out using his advice. Good job.
Eric at O'Reilly's on the Guide Meridian in Bellingham, WA was extremely helpful to me and my daughter today (7-28-2019). He helped remove a very stripped bolt in order to get a new battery installed in O'Reilly's parking lot on a Sunday. He saved us a few hundred dollars in towing fees. We, my daughter and I, are extremely grateful for his kind and speedy service.
This is a family operated store, and the family is in Missouri. They operate 4,500 nationwide. You better do your research before coming to buy an expensive item, as the days when you could find an experienced person in a auto parts store are gone. This is like buying fast food, know what you want as the clerk is just tapping a screen and hoping for an answer. We went for a car battery. Normally they're are 3,4,5,6,7 year warranty. We get one choice, with a 3 year warranty because "batteries don't last very long ". No kidding. Just do your homework people.
The guys always help me find what I'm looking for and the prices are good. They also let you borrow the car computer and once you have the data they will print out the details at no cost. My engine light is always on due to a sensor error so it's really helpful to get that computer info printed out every once in a while.
I had a flat and didn't know I had a special locking lug nut and of course it was not in my new to me use car. Lucky jiffy lube was near and told me O'Reilly would probably have the part and would even drive it out to me. They had the part I could get it but had to pay with cash in person. Thankfully the one time I had can on me. O'Reilly customer service was fantastic and so happy they could come out to me in my time off need on a Sunday too.
