Kyoto Japanese Steakhouse

Food was good. Smells weird though and the food we ordered other than what was cooked on the hibachi took forever.

Top shelf hibachi. When u go, ask for KO. Hes the best chef there! Remember. Fried rice, with extra yum yum sauce!

The three-star rating gives credit to the customer service and generous portions. Both our server and our chef (Edward) were very warm, welcoming, and friendly.

But after two visits (years apart), I feel that most of what I'm paying for is the service/performance of hibachi. I have yet to be impressed by the food. I've had more flavor in my food at home following simple recipes than any of the shrimp or chicken I've ordered at the restaurant. I'd rather spend $15 less/per person and have a quality sushi dinner.

Other than being invited by friends, there's been no instance where I've been pulled back to the restaurant. I can always compromise on customer service if the food is delicious. The taste hasn't motivated me to return without the invite of family or friends for a special occasion.

Love Kyotos. Don't get to go often because of the price, but they make the best fried rice I've ever had. Ninja special is great. Friendly staff and fun show.
