Lafeens Family Pride Donuts and Ice Cream

My chocolate bar was so yummy! A little crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside. The young man helping was super friendly too.

The donuts are ok at best. Nothing you're going to walk away and feel like you have to come back again.

Which is funny because it's a store that specializes in donuts.

The coffee is also pretty terrible. Which, again, is odd for a donut shop.

However, if you're coming off the mountain or the lake it's the closest place to get a quick treat.

Fresh batch of donuts cooked up upon arrival. Good crowd of people. Some funny kids in the background while we were ordering. A delightfully cheerful place with all due respect

Maybe I am crazy but I often hear Lafeens has the best donuts in town and I just..... don't agree. They are fine and I often go there because I live by there but I always just feel "meh" about it. Donuts are fine, but like the maple bars look flat, not sure if the raised donuts are old or if that's just how they make them. I prefer their cake donuts which are good. As far as the restaurant though I feel like it is.... dirty? If you look at the espresso machine is looks like it has not been properly cleaned for a while. Everything else behind the counter also looks like it's been a while since cleaned. I feel bad because the guy that always helps me is super nice but I just have a thing about dirty places. Decent donuts, I go because its on the way, meh.

Hands down the best donuts I have ever had! A couple people reviewing have complained about the appearance but in my opinion it adds to the charm. You want fancy looking? Go somewhere else but you won’t get donuts as good as Lafeens
