The staff at Whatcom Optical is extremely friendly, and in the past I've had great experiences with super quality frames and lenses - until this year.
Three weeks ago I spent $550 up front for new frames and lenses - but the lenses didn't have any anti-reflective coating (very obvious if you've ever worn glasses). The Whatcom Optical staff didn't believe me until I showed them, but then they ordered new lenses with the coating and blamed the lens lab for the mixup. Ok, no problem.
After a week I picked up the glasses with the "new" lenses, except the frames were now bent and the edges of one of the "new" lenses was literally chewed up by forcing it into the bent frames. They said they would replace the lenses and frames - all good.
After another week they called me again to pick up my new glasses. Oops - same bent frames and same chewed up lenses. I'll give them one more chance. I refuse to pay $550 out of my own pocket for refurbished frames and lenses - especially when Whatcom Optical's staff refurbished them through incompetence.
