This is a beautiful park and town! The park is really nice and you can camp there as well. It looks like it is more geared toward RV camping but you could tent camp as well. We didn't do a through investigation of each site. From what I saw they didn't have much tent space. The park is fairly big so lots of places to walk as well as on the beach. The town had a variety of restaurants and it is right on the water. It would be a lovely retirement spot!
I absolutely love Birch Bay State Park. It is so very beautiful. Great place to bring children, walk the beach or have a picnic. Public restrooms and play area for the children. Gets 5 star rating.
We have been here before, but this visit has been unbelievable. The view was fantastic, the kids loved the rocks to throw into the water. But I do have to give special kudos to the bathrooms. The park rangers did an amazing job. It was clean and neat. When I say clean, I mean as clean as my bathroom at home clean. It smelled fresh and the showers we're spotless. After talking with the ranger I found out they did all the tiling and renovations themselves. It is amazing. Best public bathrooms ever. So the the beach is wonderful and well maintained, and so are all the facilities.
Beautiful view. Great place to watch a sunset. Easy parking and restrooms close by. Must have Discovery Pass or pay day fee to use.
I love going here. There is never a lot of people so it's a nice place to go if you want some peace and quiet. Wonderful spot to fly kites the wind is always going. Smell of the salt water and the birds in the sky and on a sunny day it's a wonderful spot take your family.
