This park is beautiful! In old Victorian house on sprawling lands. We were there on their offseason and the lands were beautifully maintained, the park was fun for my two year old, and then we're even animals are the kids to look at. I can't wait to go back during their you're busy season and be able to check out the inside of the old house.
It's a great park to walk in. You can definitely find a lot of land to walk. If you have a dog, you should take it there. I also like the small lighthouse. You get to see chickens and bunnies too. They have swings and slides for kids too if you like going on them. It's a nice environment when the weather is good. If you go in winter then make sure to wear something warm because you'd have to walk a long distance before reaching the sidewalk or your car.
One of our all-time favorite parks. My only problem is with the folks who don't pay attention to the on-leash vs. off-leash signs for the puppers.
Don't get me wrong, I love a happy dog running around freely, but I have a family who depend on their service dog, and a lot of casual dog owners don't understand that an off leash dog coming over to "say hi" or play can create a huge problem. There are fantastic off-leash areas at this park, but the main picnic and playground areas are NOT included.
This is a big place with interesting history. For sure walking out on the boardwalk and seeing the birds and more was great. A number of events are held there yearly and I enjoy being there each time
One of my favorite places! A great place to spend outdoors with family and have a picnic. During the Spring and Summer there are farm animals to see. There is an old barn with vintage farm equipment, a beautiful garden and the original house in which you can have a guided tour and learn about the place.
