Beautiful view.
Parking fee charge at least 2 hours.
Hands down, the best dog park in Alberta or Canada even. With mountains and forest as a backdrop, it’s absolutely the most beautiful. Pass the little forest is another field which leads to a dog pond! Super cute and scenic.
Parking is for a fee now. But it’s changed from $20 flat-rate all day to hourly which is much more reasonable
Wow , swimming lake... very nice . Not much rush ..calm and quiet place ..kids swimming 🏊♂️ are like beach ..trees and bunches are plenty..
Gets busy on nice days with lots of keen SUPpers, kids and sun seekers, there are toilets nearby and enough space to not feel over crowded. The parking is $10 for 2 hours, or $75 a day which we thought was excessive so we rushed our 3h10m hike down to 2hrs to meet this deadline. Safe to say we worked up a sweat! Good motivation though
If Canmore had a beach, or something similar, this would be it. The park is a nice open space to be busy with other sun bathers and paddlers. There is no sand beach, just to be clear, but the lake is good for paddle boards and such. And if hiking is more your thing, there are a nice set of trails nearby.
