My boyfriend and I went here because the restaurant next door that we were initially going to go to was closed. He got a Chianti and I got a "customer fav" but I swapped the curry sauce with a basil cream sauce. My boyfriend's prosciutto and mushroom pasta was pretty good. My salmon tasted like lox that had just been used in the sauce. It was overly salty and the texture of the fish was a bit strange. I couldn't really taste the basil cream sauce unless I had it by itself. The pasta noodles were pleasant. It was nice and al dente and plump.
Overall, I'd say the food was overly salty, both of us had two full glasses of water. However, the cheap price gets this place a 4 stars. It's a good bang for your buck if you want a lot of food for a good price. Just steer clear of the seafood.
Visited for the first time in many years (after other positive experiences).
After being seated we were told it was pasta frenzy where any pasta dish was $12.99. We had 2 mains, shared 2 starters and a dessert for under $60!
They bring out thick focaccia style bread to dip in oils to start. We shared a started caesar salad and calamari. The calamari was the star of the night- very tender, crispy and quite large.
I had the Alla Con Chipotle (chipotle peppers, pesto, red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, spicy sauce and substituted the chicken for the inhouse Italian sausage). The sausage was great but thought there could have been more sun-dried tomatoes and the sauce more spicy (but I like heat).
My wife had the Sicilian (linguini, curry sausage, mushrooms, Italian sausage and onions). She also liked the sausage, found it to be too spicy (she doesn't handle heat well) but enjoyed it overall.
We took our Tiramisu to go as we were super full. We both found it a bit too soggy for our liking but had a good flavor.
Service was really good.
Absolutely the best pasta in town!! Been around for at least 20yrs even before we got married and had any kids... fast forward, and we're now enjoying the experience with our kids.
The pasta dishes are delicious!!!. Homemade pasta, with some out of this world pasta sauces... to die for!!.. The friendly service and homie atmosphere makes this place a perfect 10/10..
The lineup was long when we got here, but we were sitted quickly, around 10 minutes. It was our first time here and they did not disappoint. We ordered calamari to start which was amazing! Best calamari I've had so far. Im happy they also have a complimentary bread to go with our orders. The pasta we ordered tasted delicious as well. Nothing amazing but satisfied our craving for some pasta that evening. Our server was okay as he got us what we usually asked him. But more than a couple of times, he doesnt respond to my requests and so Im not sure if he heard us or not.
Other than that, we are still satisfied with the food we ate. I'd still recommend this restaurant as their prices are reasonable.
