I didn't know much about pilates before, but based on a recommendation from my chiropractor, I went to B2P... It was a game changer! I've had low back pain from 2 herniated discs for about 5 years. Natasha at B2P created a strategy to target my core, and now I'm sitting and running comfortably again! First time in 5 years!
Can't recommend highly enough - B2P put me on a health path I never thought I'd be able to be on.
Natasha,Thank you for helping my daughter Ella get back to playing ball. Your pilates workouts have made all the difference to get her back issues under control and become pain-free again. A happy coincidence, her core is so strong that batting has also massively improved. Ella can tell you for sure, but I think she’s hit 5 home runs this season !?! She’s having a lot of fun. Here is a photo of her in action!
Joining B2P Pilates has been the best thing I have done for myself for years. Natasha and Shizuko are excellent, thoughtful teachers. They plan well and pay attention to what your needs are in order to reach your goals. It never feels like a chore to go to Pilates. Natasha as the leader/ owner has created a warm, welcoming environment. Love it.
I've always been interested in pilates and I have always kept an eye out for pilates studios in Calgary. It is definitely becoming much more popular in Calgary and you can see it in many different forms such as big beautiful studios, group fitness classes and more. I have tried a handful of them so I can understand the classes, and pilates itself, better for comparison sake.
I always value good form in all types of workouts – yoga, weightlifting, HIIT, etc.. and pilates is no exception. This is one of the main reasons I love B2P; each class has a maximum of 3 people and the instructor can actually see and guide every single person in the class. My instructor, Shizuko, is amazing and can push you to challenge yourself yet modify moves if you have any injuries or don’t have the mobility to do certain moves. They also offer one-on-ones at a reasonable price in their cozy little studio that I found great.
I've been attending weekly classes since January and I really do notice a difference, and the positive changes are beneficial to other aspects of my active life whether it is yoga, weightlifting, HIIT, or cardio. I have an imbalance (as most people do) in my left and right side, and I feel that pilates has helped me immensely, as well as strengthening my core through exercises I would never have done on my own.
Overall, if you are looking to make a regular commitment to yourself and your body through pilates, I would recommend B2P. Natasha was very friendly and answered my questions in person as well as through e-mail, and even went through a demo for me to see what the class would be like. If you are interested, I would say don’t be shy and try reaching out :)
Boutique Pilates and owner, Natasha, have changed my life! I was always wary of going to studios, the amount of people, lack of one on one time, and never sure if I was doing the moves correctly. Then I found Boutique, it completely fit my philosophy on working out. Small classes, one on one training and concise explanations of each move. I go twice a week, and it's the best work out I've ever had. I have recommended Boutique to all of my friends! Thanks Natasha!!!
