Crimson Lake PP is a wonderful family destination for all kinds of activities. From hiking to paddle boarding and lots in-between. Great services from a store, showers, and power both 15 amp and 30 amp. Only a 2.25 hour drive from Edmonton and 15 minutes from Rocky Mountain House in case something has been forgotten at home.

Beautiful lake! The walk around the lake (Amerada) is 10km and pretty flat which was nice. Very quiet trail on a Monday afternoon.

A must visit place when you explore the Rocky Mountain House area. It is a fun filled place for the family with ample parking and excellent facilities.

A pretty area with lots of parking. We also saw a playground. We popped in on our trip up the North leg of Cowboy Trail. The photos are from the boat launch area. It was surprisingly quiet in the park considering it was the Friday afternoon before a long weekend. If I lived in the area I imagine I would spend a fair bit of time here!

Crimson Lake provincial park includes the campground, beach and trail around Crimson Lake itself. It also includes Twin Lakes which is close by. There is a campground, group camp, fishing docks and a walking trail. Only non motorized boats are allowed.
I walked the trail from the Twin Lakes parking lot to the highway and back. It is about 2.4 km each way and is shared by walkers and bicycles. The trail is packed dirt and has some small elevation changes. It can be used year round although it gets icy at times. There are some Lake views but most of the trail is through the forest.
