Great for hiking, good scenery
Mostly nice trails around and through. The park itself is not all that useful right now. The snow wasn't removed in any way.
A nice park with a short trail along the cliff by the river with some open park areas. Nice for a change from the bigger dog parks. It has a few benches some with a wonderful view of the river valley.
The best place to park is just around the corner of 149 Street on Quinell Boulevard, as there is a little side road just on the right.
I give it a 4 star because the trail has a great view, and it's a good place for dogs. There are plenty of garbage cans around.
Reminds me of BC. So beautiful, with so many trails to adventure and hike! Treat these trails with caution, however, as they truly are uncut nature and require caution at certain places.
Although it floods, Rio Park feels private and intimate when you walk through it. It's very therapeutic and fun.
