As a family photographer, this is one of my favorite parks to visit in Edmonton! There are tons of options and beautiful backdrops allowing for that country look right in the heart of the city!
Long trails with a great view. A lot of squirrels to keep your dogs entertained, also one coyote of mass proportions
Whitemud ravine is a great place for quiet walks. Being a nature reserve there are no bikes and no off-leash dogs. On a mountain bike it is possible to skirt the East side of the ravine (see TrailForks) if you need to get through the ravine without walking the whole way. Also nice to have full amenities including parking at the North end. Usually fairly quiet. If looking for long stairs to run there is a set leading up to Grandview Heights (spacing is really nice on the bottom third, the rest are a bit small/tight).
I absolutely love Whitemud park. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing walking around the trails but I mostly go to do photography. Is one of my to go spots with Bridal Parties and families. So many beautiful corners and backdrops for photos year round!
Wonderful complex of trails through the Edmonton river valley. This gem is truly my favorite part of the city. For a short walk, or an all day affair, this is perfect for a piece of nature. For more structured playgrounds for younger kids, the area near Kinsmen is most appropriate.
(780) 442-5311 A beautiful walk or ride along the Saskatchewan River, canopy by Forest the main trail is paved there lots of trails off the beaten path. This is a great ride For children you can go quite a ways before the incline gets deep, the trail is wide & again it is paved.
Whitemud Park is located just off Fox Drive between Fort Edmonton Park, the John Janzen Nature Centre and Whitemud Equine Centre.Picnic sites, multi-use trails and a well-utilized toboggan hill in the winter are key amenities for this park.

Snow Valley Edmonton, Whitemud Park (exit at 122 St from the Whitemud Freeway, head south and turn at Whitemud Park sign), ☎ +1 780-434-3991. Though small, it is an excellent ski hill for beginners.
