Called to Central Sewing Machine to decide if I should take my busted machine (purchased second hand) in for repair or to purchase a new one as I suspected it too far gone (it is an old machine from the 70s). I spoke with Chris W. and he was able to provide troubleshooting tips over the phone, without having even seen my machine. Chris was also able to provide valuable information for using my machine (I am an amateur and just use it to hem pants that are too long for me).
I am planning on taking it in for a tune up soon as I think it really needs some TLC but at the very least, he got my machine to a usable state for the time being. Thank you Chris!

This is the first time I visited. It is a beautiful store. And I was quickly assisted by pleasant and knowledgeable staff.

They are a wonderful example of a good business with actual trained and experienced professionals.

It was the car dealership of sewing machines minus the greasy car salesperson. The ladies where very knowledgeable with all the equipment in the store. My wife sent me here to buy a sewing machine and I thought it was going to be like Walmart...boy was I wrong! I was greeted right away and they ran me threw a bunch of machines with no pressure to buy. Once we found the perfect sewing machine, they also provide a lesson with it!!! That right there is awesome and I'm sure my wife has added this store to a must visit everytime we are in the city!!!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. No pressure to buy anything new. Sell new machines, basic to high end. Plus notions and repairs.
