Perfect !! We were forced to shop out of town, as Thunder Bay did not have what we needed...Not great. Luckily we came across this website "Canada's log home store" ..Wow impressed ! We just completed an extensive “do it yourself“ refurbish of our log home. The last recondition several years ago was a disaster using products from a big box store and relying on their advice. We are beyond pleased with the results after consulting with Bruce and using the products recommended and sold by him. The difference is night and day. We obviously wish we knew about Bruce and his team years ago, but better now than later...

Thank goodness Bruce and Canada's Log Home Store is here. We bought a fixer upper log house. This means we have to replace some rotted logs, do maintenance that hadn't been done ever or for at least 10 years. We called Bruce and made an appointment to pick up stain. Bruce is so knowledgeable and knows his market so well, and enlightened us on what there is available now (as compared to 20 years ago which is what we thought we needed). Bruce took the time to listen to us, then explain what would work best, and why it would work best. He gave us some samples to test. We are so comfortable now proceeding with restoring our logs to their original glory, and knowing Bruce has our backs. Just can't recommend Bruce and Canada's Log Home Store highly enough. Perhaps like others in search of information on maintaining a log home, I read a lot and watched many videos on the Internet about how to re-stain a log home. As a neophyte with log homes I was frustrated with what seemed like contradictions, and I was happy to find someone local (central Alberta). You never know what happens to those online 'request' forms so I was impressed that Bruce responded on Monday morning after my Sunday night submission! Bruce unequivocally knows his way around log home maintenance, and he was very patient with all my questions on the phone. We had a lengthy conversation by phone and then he spent a lot of time explaining things when I visited. I really appreciated that he offered options, but he also made me feel confident that I could tackle the work myself. He was invested in my project - didn't just brush me off, but rather, explained pros and cons of different approaches and gave his own recommendation. I didn't feel like he was trying to make money off of my ignorance. Sent me on my way with free samples, confidence, and even followed up with a detailed email to summarize the information. I am at the beginning of re-staining my log home and I feel comfortable that I have Bruce to assist with product and expertise. Bruce is very knowledgeable on everything log homes. We bought a log cabin, not knowing anything about the complexities of log wood. We were going to go with a contractor to redo our log home but Bruce instilled confidence that we can do it. We headed out to visit him and see the products. We spent almost an hour of his time to go over the entire refinishing process and we left knowing we can do this project. Highly recommend Bruce and his company to anyone who is in the same boat as I am. Bruce also carries all the high end brand names in logging, no need to go anywhere else.
