Super fun activity. Reasonably priced too.
Kids enjoy going here to be creative. Ladies nights are great as well. Lot's of events to choose from if you want to learn techniques or just do your own thing.
Went on Mother’s Day. Had fun with my 2yo son making a gift for mom and nana.
I was unimpressed with how little paint they provide and that you have to continually find staff to refill your paint. Eventually I took a bottle off the shelf to my seat because it was stupid how little I was given and how often I was getting up to ask for more.
I also was unimpressed with them writing a number on my finished product. They said it was to keep things straight in the kiln, but I made a keepsake with my son that now has a penciled in number written across it. That is stupid. They must be better solutions than this.
I did a project at crankpots in Edmonton once, and nothing was written on the final product.
Finally, the kiln process pulled the paint back because, as I was told, the paint was to thick. But they had items on display with thick paint, so I think it should have worked. Or at least the staff should have warned me.
Mom and Nana were happy. But the product did not end up as nice as I expected. And staff told me “it looks pretty cool like that though, right?” And I responded “no, it doesn’t”. And it doesn’t.
Fun for kids though. And if they figure out the number issue, I’d go back.
We enjoyed ourselves at Crock-a-doodle in Spruce Grove.
The staff were friendly and mostly helpful.
The only issues we had were the only two staff members were more interested in their cell phones and discussing posting to Instagram rather than asking us if we needed any help. As We had never been there before, we would have loved to have know what to do.
My daughter and I picked up two items and the staff finally spoke to us. After we painted our items, we were left wondering what to do next. I asked them to explain what happens next.
While we were waiting for our items to dry, we wandered around and noticed a lot more items to paint in the Birthday/ Party room. My daughter would loved to have had other options as she wanted to paint some mermaids, which we saw in the birthday room and weren’t offered in the front of the store.
Despite the bad start, we enjoyed ourselves and our items came out great.
I found the prices of the items to paint were high as well.
Just spoke to a woman here whom was VERY supportive, easy to talk to and cheerful! She was a breath of fresh air and I will be taking my business from crank pots, over here from now on!!! She was informative and helpful and I am excited to get my creative side on here!!!
