Country Cousins Bistro & Bakery

This restaurant is an old favorite but it has had a beautiful makeover! Inside is lovely and the food is as good as ever. I normally go for the perigões...in fact I never order anything else. But this time I switched it up for the bbq chicken pizza with extra sauce on the side. The bbq sauce is to die for and they sell it in jars to take home. The crust is thin enough but not a cracker! Truly excellent! The service was also fun and light hearted which made for a really excellent experience.

We dropped in for the Sunday Buffet that is only open between 11:30 -2:30. It's an interesting concept, just sit at a table and they bring you your dinner plates. The chicken was tender and crispy. The sliced beef was really tender it would almost melt in your mouth and served with fresh homemade horse radish. There was a complement of fresh baked buns, broccoli salad, mixed green salad, mashed potatoes, and gravy. And to end it all they served a complement of fresh baked pies. I understand this place serves the best peanut butter pie, but they only had pecan, saskatoon berry, and apple pies today. You can order out pies and canned vegetables as well. I gave this place a 5 star because the food was so good. It is a bit pricey as it cost us around $60 for the buffet with a takeout slice of pie.

Great place to eat. Service is good too and really liked the peanut butter pie.

Would recommend. Staff here are so friendly! Loved the pie and the food! Will be coming back again.
