I've gone here for 7 years and it's been amazing the coaches are extremely talented and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Easily the best BJJ school in all of Calgary. They also have very convenient class times which makes it easy to get too in your day and they don't make you pay and do a test for a promotion. If you are thinking of doing Martial Arts go here.

I have been training here for a little over a year. Awesome place to start BJJ... clean gym, friendly, chill environment. Instruction and knowledge of Professor Josh and the coaches are invaluable.
Great coaching, great facility and a wealth of students at every level. I've been a member of 4 academies and I will be lucky if JR Academy is my last. Whether you're an avid fan of BJJ or looking to start learning you'll be hard pressed to find a better place to train. ????
I have trained at this academy for almost a decade. The instruction and training are both fantastic. The people are awesome to be around. Prof. Josh Russell has built something special.
(403) 899-2880 My girlfriend wanted to take the women's only fundamentals class and I needed some mat time so we came in on Sunday morning when they had both available. Kim welcomed us in and Emily (women's head coach) ran the fundamentals class.
