Pretty cool area, was nice reading up on the history of Fort Calgary.
Very friendly and helpful staff who helped us understand the exhibits and we had a lot of fun and enjoyed our afternoon I recommend more people go down and enjoy Calgary's history
Excellent place to visit with family. A small museum to show how Calgary was in the old days. Does not show much about First Nations history.
Being in Calgary for more than 3 years been to this place recently as part of field trip and never expected this will be much fun. Its history and heritage. I recommend every Calgarian to visit this place to know about the city's rich heritage. It will be real fun for kids especially and adults will also know lot of things and can learn. Now, if you want to spend all day you need to get your food as there is no cafeteria or anything to feed yourselves. They have fountain for water and washrooms which is good. Hope you visit this place and have fun. The entrance fee also very much affordable. It takes half a day or even less to spend here so worth your time.
A group of 13 of us, mature adults, took the Private Tour of the interior exhibition. We can all claim Calgary as home and three of our group were actually born in Calgary. Ruth, our guide, was first rate; personable, knowledgeable and informative. We all learned a lot about Calgary, its roots, its Fort and its growth and development. The exhibits are cleverly arranged: they open windows on our past ... some of which we remember! We all left better for the experience.
