“Overall, I have had an excellent experience at BVC. I just completed the Justice Studies diploma, and am excited to have this with me for my future. The teachers are very knowledgeable and understanding. They all have a vast range of knowledge from working in different areas of the justice system, and they share their knowledge with the students. BVC makes sure that the students in this program graduate with the appropriate certifications to help us succeed in our future careers, whichever path we take. The teachers take the time to get to know their students. I feel like some of these bad google reviews have nothing to do with the courses themselves, but rather the admissions and registrar departments. Very good college, and I would recommend them to anyone!”

“I've taken several courses here. Overall, they are challenging and you have to put in the work, but definitely doable. I'd say quite comparable to any other post-secondary in Alberta (except without the lecture and social aspect). Science courses involving labs can be a bit frustrating as they send you lab materials and you have to do them at home. However, you can also do the entire lab portion in a few days at a location with all the supplies if you choose that option. I like that the timelines are flexible and that I can work while I'm completing courses. Would recommend, but self-discipline is very important.”

“Pros: Smaller class sizes than your average University. Evening classes for those who work full-time. Some great professors and faculty. Convenient campus location next to the C-train/City Hall. Cons: Poor and limited selection of courses offered that i had to go to main campus to take a MGT course! . Lack of convenient student resources in career development/job searching as that is offered by the main campus. The Library closes down in the evening, which means fewer places to study for evening full-time students. The location is great, but having it in a real campus with parking lots, gym, library, and other services would make it better.”
