Chronic Tacos

EDIT: The Chronic Tacos HR reached out to me and were extremely professional. I really appreciate them hearing my feedback and I'm looking forward to trying Chronic Tacos again. I have updated my review to reflect the kindness that was shown to me.

We ordered in lunch at the office from Chronic Tacos. I got a fish taco combo, and I asked for cabbage, jalapenos, guacamole and salsa roja on my taco. Unfortunately, what I ended up getting was a taco with 3 shrimp, jalapenos and a drip of salsa. I'm not sure if it was because of the lunch rush, but I felt let down as I've heard great things. On a positive note, the chips and salsa were a nice touch.

All the ingredients are there. Good idea for a Cali burrito, love those from San Diego. The idea is there but the execution isn’t. Meat is held in warmed inserts and not freshly cooked and cut which is a big staple in a simple taco. All the meat is just ok.... Calgary doesn’t have many Mexican options and this had a lot of potential. It’s Definitely great if you haven’t had real tacos before and is just ok and fills a fix otherwise. It’s a good chain and it’s not a dine in spot so it’s probably the best you’ll get and it does have lots of variety. Service is super slow though. Maybe having set tacos instead of subway style would make it more streamline, sometimes too many options ruins the actual flavour splaying in each other. Perhaps cause it’s new.

These are fairly good. Realistically, they are ultimately fast food, but still tasty. The burritos are massive and very filling - don’t over order here. The hot salsa is relatively mild, so if you like spicy, load it up!

Burritos as big as a baby and worth every penny. Awesome staff of smiley young people and the food is perfection. This is a place I crave and would happily eat at on the daily. It never gets old and they let you choose whatever toppings you want. Also. Guac is extra. When is it not? But it's hand made and I couldn't go without it. Would highly recommend their pork over all of their meats as it's divine. Perfectly seasoned and amazingly tender. Guess I talked myself into buying it for lunch again ????

Amazing tacos! I drove all the way up out from the south to get my hands on these. Everyone was raving about them so I had to try them out.

Have I mentioned how delicious their tacos are lol? Really top notch! I’ve already been here about 6 times, really can’t be beat for fast, cheap, yummy tacos.
