Sunterra Market & Café, Kensington Road

I want to give this place a better review because I loved the look and the patio, but the overall experience was a miss for me. We walked in and stood under the 'Order Here' sign for a while, and after waiting around we were eventually told we were standing under the wrong 'Order Here' sign. Very odd. Then we had to put an X on a large sheet of paper, one for each of us, to submit our order. What a massive waste of paper to say that I want a sandwich! When we went to pay I asked for a blended coffee. They don't have that yet. OK. Asked for an iced tea. Nope, that's on the menu but they don't have that either. Got a coffee and went to sit down and wait for our food. Eventually found the coffee just sitting out at the far end waiting for me to pickup, yet we were told to sit and they would call our name for the food. So insanely confusing. The sandwich was ok, but this ordering system is beyond flawed.

We went recently to check out the new location and overall weren't disappointed. As we were there to order dessert and coffee we sat at the back. In the front there are tables and chairs for sitting. All the seating in this area was taken. When we turned around with our coffee and desserts to look for a place to sit we were dumbfounded at the lack of seating. There would have been enough seating if it were not for two narcissistic selfish self-absorbed rude two women with their babies taking a whole table for themselves which could have sat 8 to 10 people easily. They had their carriages that included everything from home minus the kitchen sink on either side of the table and they sat in the middle of the table with all their baby gear spread all over the top of the table. It is great that you are having the babies but does the whole world have to know? Next time show some consideration for others! Staff should have told them to take less room! Other than that we will be back for the food and coffee.

Great prepared food selection and coffee. Small grocery selection, but perfect for a casual lunch or grabbing something to go. Take out sandwiches and a bottle of wine from the Co-op liquor next door make for a perfect combination. Recommend the chicken, pesto, provolone sandwich - or just their rotisserie chickens in general! Staff is wonderfully helpful and friendly. Enjoy it while it’s still a quiet spot!

This location was anxiously awaited but Parkdale residents. Now that it is here it does not disappoint. Friday Night Dinners are available for pick up as is full grocery if you order online. The location is very well organized in its smallish footprint. Full coffee bar, good selection of prepared meals, rotisserie chicken, grill and a selection of groceries. The egg sandwich us delicious and breakfast is available all day. Service is top. Very friendly and organized. Welcome to the neighborhood Sunterra. Happy to have you here.

The latest gem to open in Calgary’s NW. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is delicious. Patio has all-day sun. the interior concept is very unique, eating space is connected to District Ventures. Lots of energy and becoming the entrepreneurial hot spot of Calgary. Worth checking out.
