Carmine's Pizzeria - South

We were very excited to try this new pizza place in our area but we ended up really disappointed with it. We ordered two pizzas and they were bland and soggy, they looked almost under cooked with no browned bits on the top, just white melted cheese. The margarita pizza with its brown basil was particularly unappetizing. The ingredients tasted high quality on their own but something must not have been right with the bake. The crust was forgettable. We won't be returning any time soon. The caesar salad and garlic knots were good though.

Amazing NY style pie. The crust is unique and delicious. Quality ingredients at a fair price.

Carmine's is a gem in Oakridge. Their deep fried Mars bar is second to none. Can't wait to go back!

We decided to try Carmine's (South) for the first time today. We'd never heard of Carmine's before, but discovered it via Avenue Magazine in their "Openings" section. Always up for a (hopefully) good pizza, we decided to try one of the Hawaiian Vacations.

To say we were blown away would be an understatement! The crust... perfection. The ingredients... as fresh as they come. And what a unique take on the traditional Hawaiian... wow! Pulled pork, feta cheese, onion and pineapple. And NOT greasy! To be honest, we weren't sure we'd get through an 18 inch pizza between three of us. We were so wrong. My family hoovered that bad boy down without breaking a sweat! OMG. Fantastic! We will ABSOLUTELY be back!!!

Oh, and the Cherry Cheesecake Cannoli... to DIE for!!! Again, fresh ingredients and supremely delicious. A great way to finish an already highly enjoyable meal.

Had Carmine's for the first time yesterday. By far the best pizza in calgary. 20 min drive from my house and well worth the drive. Fresh and high end ingredients you can tell. Thanks only place I'll be getting pizza from now on.
