“Nice and quiet park. Away from the crazy, noisy, growing city! You can have your lunch at the benches, walk by the river or listen to the birds. Imperial Oil used to operate an oil refinery here years ago and now nothing is left but a few pictures, foundations and some steel pieces. ”

“Great beach to spend a hot summer afternoon. So glad to see they have the canteen open again so you can get something small to eat if you don’t feel like packing in food. Beach is always clean, the bathrooms could use a little more attention sometimes but they aren’t horrible. I enjoy spending time here.”

“The ground is a bit bouncy and way cleaner than using small pebbles as flooring. There are 2 sets of parks. One for toddlers and one for young teens. There are shades benches which is great to keep out from the sun. Lots of grass space to play frisbee or volleyball! There is a secondary park not far from there. That park has the most grass space, public gym, tennis court, and a big park.”

“I wish I had discovered this place before summer started. I would have visited this place every week for a picnic with friends and family. This is a day-use picnic area. And I like that most spots are private because of surrounding trees and bushes. Parking is easy. If you are bored eating at home, I suggest bring your dinner here and have a BBQ. It gets a little cold at night so dont forget to bring a warm sweater.”
