I have had the pleasure of experiencing the fine hospitality offered at the Fence and post many times.

Having been involved in the dining and hospitality industry for many years, as an entertainer, I can say that this venue offers truly fine cuisine, service, and highly professional staff, offering it’s guests the very best by any standard.

What an amazing restaurant. A well kept secret and reason to go to Cochrane.

They are doing such unique things that you don't see in our area of the globe very often. Mozzarella filled with garlic cream foam? I mean come on, you have to go just to say you've tried that alone.

The service was incredibly friendly, helpful, and hospitable. They helped us pick out a few of the vegetarian-friendly appetizers and a main, and seemed to have a good dynamic amongst themselves too.

We had the garlic bloom, dumplings, some fresh bread, the mushroom fritters, and lemon pudding. It was all mouthwatering, unique, enjoyable, and recommended.

Will definitely go again.

Price was alright food was very good. Lots of flavours. Portions were small. Def paid for presentation but over all the food was really good

Right in the heart of Cochrane, next to McKay's ice cream. This restaurant presents a fresh new style of fine dining. From wine and beer pairings custom created by the chef and his team to homegrown greens this place will not disappoint you. Everything is made from scratch, bread, cured meats, soups and sauces.

Having previously been to the Fence and Post three or four times for dinner and lunches we thought this would be a nice treat for friends from the United Kingdom and unfortunately were very disappointed. While the taste of the food was good, prices are high and portions are small. Selected three different wines and none were available. Ordered 2 starters to share among 4 people and the two together would have barely served 2 people. The desert for $2 was a one inch square of chocolate on a very large plate. Could barely find it. Our friend wanted some horseradish, none available. The service was EXCELLENT. A very personable young lady. Not sure we will return which is unfortunate because Cochrane could use an upper end restaurant
