“Our Veterans Group did a road trip to the Bearberry Saloon. The saloon is a nice location, virtually out in the middle of nowhere and it was quite busy when we arrived. The staff were friendly but appeared to be overwhelmed with the number of customers vs the number of staff serving them. The saloon was very eclectic. Some of our group waited for over an hour to receive our food orders, we actually waited so long, we prepaid for a meals before they were served to us so that we would not have to wait to pay afterward.”

“I’ll be blunt: this is one of the better pizza places in town. Staff are respectful and orders are done fast. You can see how they make your food, other places you can’t. They really put a lot of the other places to shame. The only places I can think of in olds that are on par or better than Dominos are Little Caesar’s and Canadian Pizza.”

“I'm going to giving them 3 stars is because I've never had an issue before. However, last month I ordered an assorted sub with double meat. I took it home and heated half of it up. Within two hours I was really sick in my bathroom on the toilet as well as using the garbage can vomit in. I knew these symptoms well as I had experienced them well after two hours of eating a 7-11 sub years before that with the same symptoms, so I called the health unit who tested the quarter of my sub which came back with bacteria from someone not washing their hands. 7-11 sent me a bouquet and changed the way they made their subs. Big deal. How about having your employees wash their hands and change their gloves every time they leave their station? I'm a server and wash and disinfect my hands every 10-15 seconds. The one thing that I refuse to do is where a mask.”

“We stopped here while visiting a friend in Olds. As with all Mr. Mike's we've been to the food and drinks were good.. but what sets this place apart is the amazing service. Right away the host took our drink order.. a few minutes went by and the server came by and asked if we recieved our drinks. We didn't think it was a long wait at all, but she apologized profusely. Shortly after that our drinks arrived, food order was taken and food arrived promptly. During our stay our drinks were never empty, our server, and two other gentleman came by to check on us multiple times (assumed to be managers). They were all genuine happy and polite people. After we were done our meals, the server dropped by with a dessert to once again apologize for the wait in getting our drinks. This restaurant went above and beyond our expectations. It's hard enough to run a business right now in this pandemic, so customer service can really make or break you..and in this case it made you! I strongly recommend anyone choosing this restaurant for your meal in Olds. We would certainly be back if we lived here. You have given the Mr.Mikes in BC a high bar to match. Edit to add: Just a warning to those wanting to order using the app; I set my pick up time an extra 10 minutes past what the app said was the suggested pick up time, in case they were busy.
