This is a general comment about some changes
Been going here for more than 15 years The food is exceptional staff are friendly it’s a really great place
Recently I ordered one of my favourite dishes curried beef
They were really busy and it appears I’ve got ginger beef, not ginger fried beef,( which is awesome by the way ) but beef with lots of ginger particles
Brought it home and the ginger was overpowering there is no curry flavour
I took it back to the store they gave me another it was identical it’s basically ginger sauce beef??
I mentioned this to the cashier and she said they have a new cook but could not give me dates when he’s not working I asked if they changed the recipe and she wasn’t sure
Too bad the recipes are controlled by the cook and not dictated by the restaurant and their past menu
this is a dish I truly enjoy and I will be sad that I will never be able to order it from here again
Just a note to Big Rock in case you get other comments from people

Big Rock is our go to for a solid western Chinese buffet!

We've never had take out so I can't speak to that.

Buffet is always hot and fresh and I love the selection of chow mein and veggie dishes available, and I'm a big fan of the won ton soup (who isn't?!).

During the many many years I've been going there have only been very very rare occasions that they haven't been up to their usual standards.

Staff have always been friendly and attentive.

We will continue making this a regular stop. Thank you Big Rock!

Great staff, inexpensive and lots of variety on the buffet.

Dinner for one? Get the buffet box and fill it yourself on the buffet!! (My wife and I make this work as dinner for two).
