Lux Daycare & OSC

I'm really happy that my daughter enjoys this place. She's developed her fine motor skills. The added bonus that I liked is, I get updates on my child's activities (thu the day) including her photos and artwork that she did in the day. The teachers are very attentive and caring. Each and every one of them needs a perk.
Ajay is constantly on his feet trying to make improvements to the establishment.
At the beginning I was very hesitant about sending my child to daycare due to child negligence horror stories, but Lux has put my mind to ease..

I will definitely recommend Lux.

Ajay is an amazing person and cares for parents and their childern.

My 2 yr old son went to Lux in 2021 for a while before we moved him to another place for family reasons. I find Lux to be a great daycare and I owe them a good review (that should’ve been done in 2021 really).

My son has stayed in 3 daycare / dayhomes so far and also I have been to tours at some other daycares.
I think that if I were to name one thing that I really like about Lux, it would be that it is by far the only place that my son feels excited to go to every morning. I mean, he likes all others places as well and are always happy when I pick him up. But Lux is the only place where he would smile and run all the way inside once I drop him off, every morning. Then I could start my day with peace of mind that he is in good hands.

That out of the way, here are some details that perhaps the other parents might find useful. Lux was a relatively new family business. My overall visual impression of the place was that it was new, clean and bright (in terms of the colour tone of the furnishing and the sunlight in the rooms). It did not have an indoor playground/activity room that some other daycares had. But the plus side was that the room seemed to be big enough to not let the kids feel constrained in the winter time.
When it was warm outside, they took kids out for a walk in the morning which was great and might explain why my son particularly liked Lux better.
The drop off and pick up area was at the front entrance instead of right outside of the classroom. I preferred this way since it felt safer to me.
The communication with parents was done through an app but I didn’t receive much updates of the day at the time. I wish there was more frequent updates. But I also thought that the flip side was that perhaps the staff were having their full attention on the kids.

I wanted to end the review with thanking the owner Ajay and the staff.
Ajay was super responsive despite being busy. He and the staff there were all quite friendly and attentive to details. I would hear from them about how the day went for my son when I picked him up and it had always been a pleasant conversation. I wish they do very well in the years to come!

My two boys attended Lux for about 6 months before we moved to a different province. My experience there as a parent was pleasant. Ajay made us feel very comfortable and tried to accommodate our every need, particularly with my son having ADHD. He tried to help us seek one on one help if we needed it, and always tried to be patient and understanding with our oldest boy. All the teachers there are friendly, understanding, and patient with the kids, which made me feel good knowing that my kids are in good hands.

I'm sad the boys time was cut short because they were really enjoying themselves there, but I know that the next group of kids will take their spots, and I assure you that they will love it there! The rooms are spacious and clean, with a variety of toys and educational things to play and learn with. They have a backyard for outside play and big windows to bring in lots of light. So, it goes without saying, I recommend Lux to anyone looking for childcare in this neighborhood!
