Quite, elegant restaurant with mountain view. Seafood bisque was a bit too sour. Signature steak (for 2) was huge - ended up sharing among 3 people. Meat was sous vided so it was very soft, almost fluffy, so managed to finish all. Demi-glace sauce accompanied with steak was also delicious.
The dining experience at this restaurant was of an elite level - the service was elegant, and the design [of restaurant] was timeless.
The waiter, Karl, was very friendly.
I ordered the Alberta Bison Short Ribs, it did not come at a cheap price. The portion size was satisfactory and it tasted well. The seasoning could have been a bit stronger however. The bison was served with mushrooms and potatoes, it all tasted well.
The restaurant does its best to source local ingredients and foods, down to [even] the root beer [drink] that I ordered.
An individual with us ordered House made Tortellini, it came uncooked, the dough was slightly raw, we sent it back and ordered Dry-Aged Duck Breast instead.
4/5 overall
5/5 food taste/presentation
5/5 atmosphere/service
Would recommend if stopping by, but beware, very expensive.
My wife and I ate here last night, the food, presentation and ambience was exceptional. The flavour profiles of the Sunterra Pork burst in your mouth in a harmonious medley of applewood, creamed mushroom and jus reduction the desserts including the lemon tart and the cardamom creme brulèe was sublime. Also, do yourself a good deed and get the sourdough bread with butter, they have been using the same starter since 1928 - one of the best I have had
So amazing, every dish, each wine selection - amazing! We wish we had m stayed more to have try more stuff on the menu.
I ordered the lamb chop - from a whole lamb; there are 8 or 9 or them. And I eat every piece. Sooo good - text book for the term juicy and tender.
We LOVE enjoying a coffee by the fireplace and most recently a lunch and dessert with a gorgeous view of the mountains. The service is top notch and you will not be disappointed.
