Peter's Drive-In

Drove by there on our way back from Edmonton to Calgary.

Ordered the following -

1. Strawberry milkshake - very thick, was more milky and very little strawberry flavor - 2 out of 5
2.Hot dog - tasted good, had mustard and ketchup sauce - 4 out of 5
3. Double cheese burger - patties tasted good, the bread was fresh, only thing is the sauce was too much and hence the bun got soggy - 4 out of 5

I expected more from the milkshake.

Went through the drive-through, which was pretty busy around lunchtime. Milkshake took a few minutes to be ready, but I think they would have otherwise provided pretty quick service.

Ordered cheeseburger, fries, and milkshake. Cheeseburger was alright - the Peter's sauce is a subtle variation on burger sauces. Fries were good - mostly lightly salted, but had a few that were over salted in the family pack (maybe just an issue with tossing evenly). Milkshake (marshmallow Oreo) was too sweet for me, but I've I don't have much of a sweet tooth. Perhaps I'll try a plain vanilla next time.
On a side note, their veggie burger is a real veggie burger rather than a meat imitation. You'll be able to see the rice, beans and corn that make up the patty.

Looked like they were still doing service at the register and people were eating outside. They've got plastic barriers at the registers.

Overall solid experience. Would definitely try again for other menu items.

Perfectly acceptable food. The fries were actually really good. The milk shakes are good, but the marshmallow flavor was weird. The burgers are edible. Very basic. Not inspired. Like a very well done hospital cafeteria burger.

Had a shake. So much variety!
