TC was my first 8-month work term as an Engineering Co-op Student under the University of Alberta. My position was as a labourer in Subdivision Shallow Utility. TC taught me many valuable skills, ranging from independence to leadership, that I could use in my future opportunities and carry on to my final career. Working alongside passionate coworkers also helped me realize the types of areas I was lacking in and motivated me to improve on them. Though most importantly, TC had made it very clear that safety must always come first before any type of work, which I valued greatly as I was not as accustomed to the construction work environment as others. TC had also demonstrated the importance of safety by having monthly divisional safety meetings where we would discuss safety hazards, incidents and methods of reducing the risk. I am very grateful that I was able to work under TC Infrastructure and hold them in high regard as they created an atmosphere where I always felt safe, valued and welcome.

My experience with this company wasn't planned but it was wonderful. I was hauling horses on Highway 2 and blew a trailer tire. I was by myself and was calling a tow truck when two staff, Chris and Jordan, came immediately to offer their help as they were working beside the highway here I'd stopped my trailer. I got my horses out of the trailer and held them while Chris and Jordan quickly and efficiently changed the tire. Janet, the site supervisor, stopped traffic so we could get safely back onto Highway 2. A company's reputation starts with its staff and Chris, Jordan and Janet's kindness and assistance rates a gold star for TC Infrastructure.

TC did some powerline work in my neighborhood (which is an older area). They had to disconnect the power briefly during the daytime for some upgrades to the aging power lines, we were told. The guy who came to our door to inform me and all my neighbors was very polite and explained exactly what was going on and the work they had scheduled in to do. In fact they had the power on quicker than they initially said they would, so thought I would come on google and leave a nice review for them. They cleaned up their work area and left the neighbor’s yard where they dug a hole, the same way they found it. Great company to work with!
