The place does not have a lot of trees but it is very quite. The person responding to email inquires is very responsive and easy to deal with. A thanks to Laura. Washrooms, showers and camp sites are clean and tidy.
Whilst there was the inevitable blue green algae that prevented us getting out on the water this campground is a hidden gem. The well loved, super sweet, boardwalk is so nice and (when lucky) provides lots of photographs for the bird watcher. Power (& water on some) sites are a bonus, as is the dump station. There’s a 12k gravel road (well maintained) to the site and it’s reservation only (so no fingers crossed if you’re a way out of town.) It’s close enough to Drumheller and the Tyrell etc but super quiet too. It’s definitely on our list now! Dark skies at night are also a photographer’s delight too!
Never camped here before but we were pleasantly surprised! Nicely kept grounds, showers, flushable toilets, fishing and a little playground. We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Great little place. We stayed in a power/water site for $35 a night. They now have seasonal sites (power/water/sewer) for $2000 a season. There are flush toilets and free showers. Updated playground. Fishing for rainbow trout. The only thing missing was the free firewood. There used to be a free woodpile and it was picked thru.
