This is a nice motel but the owners are a little to strict for my taste as far as I am concerned of I'm paying 100 a night for my room the shouldn't be able to police my guests that stop in to see visit as long as we are respectful of everyone else around us and it isn't past 11 pm they shouldn't be able to say my friend who had just lost her husband couldn't come see me at my room. They actually kicked her out and she just really needed someone to sit with as she just realised her husband wasn't coming back. I never felt more helpless as I had to watch her walk away alone.
So I rented the room that had a 1 bedroom unit style apartment ($1400) a month. They approved me for having a cat. $250 deposit. The whole property is very safe. Very clean. No problems. I like It here. Next time I'm in town for work I will be staying here again.
My unit came with a full kitchen, 55 inch TV, a mostly up to date bathroom. And many more things that make this motel stand out from all the others in town
Clean, quiet, and cozy. We stayed one night in this motel when attending a concert at the Empress Theatre. Although an old motel, the owners have done a nice job of updating the rooms. It was clean, the heater worked very well, and the linens were fresh and of good quality. The staff/owners were very friendly. Our only complaint...the bed was too firm and could really use some kind of foam topper.
This little independent motel is a gem. This is not a chain hotel where the rooms are cookie cutter. The rooms are in older buildings with quirks. We had two rooms and both had been freshly painted and were clean. One of our rooms had a 2 beds with one being in a separate bedroom space which offered privacy not normally found in a big chain hotel room. The manager greeted us at the office door, checked us in then personally walked us to each of our rooms. He offered us suggestions for where to go for a meal at a later hour. And the best part of the Century II was the price! $65 for the room with 1 bed and $90 for the 2 bedroom.
