Colyn's Landscaping Ltd

My wife and I recently moved from Ontario to Port Alberni, Sproat Lake specifically to a 1 acre property that was mostly undeveloped. In the January 2023 we were searching for a landscape designer who would not charge us and arm and a leg for a design and plant recommendations for the property. I got the name of Grant through Colyns Nursery. We worked with Grant (free of charge) on a couple of occasions to come up with a design. He came out to the property twice and was extremely patient, helpful and so knowledgable about the plants most appropriate to the area and our property specifically. Grant and his crew of two hardworking men came out April 11 and 12th and completed the work efficiently and effectively. April 11th Grant came out with two loads of soil for the grass and the truck was equipped with a device that could distribute the soil accross the entire property. This allowed the soil to be distributed without ruining the property like a bobcat with a front end loader would have done. So smart! Later on the 11th Grant brought out all of the plants for the planting. April 12th Grant and his crew showed up bright and early for a day of planting. He first placed all of the plants in the positions we discussed and then asked for our input and we made a few modifications. They dug extremely oversized holes for some additional garden soil as our ground is extremely clay like and full of gravel. The crew worked almost non stop the entire day, with only a couple of short breaks, very impressive. They watered everything thoroughly, they cleaned up the entire site spotlessly and they were the most pleasant folks I have ever had to work with here in Port Alberni.
