Very much enjoyed the cider, the service and the location! The property is lovely. When we arrived for our booking the host greeted us and quickly showed us to a table with the menues. Our server then came out to take our order after we had a minute to decide what we wanted. The flight of six was an excellent variety of their offerings. We ended up purchasing two bottles of their cider we most enjoyed from the flight. We also purchased dumpling drop dumplings from the freezer and some merchandise. As a local, I chose a time of day nearer to the close of the tasting room — this did not hinder our experience what so ever. The staff let us take our time and were attentive the entire visit. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys cider or wants to taste some of what the Island has to offer. Cheers!
Sea Cider is at a great location, with a beautiful view of... the sea! The facility has been extended with a hall for more sheltered seating when needed. Good choice of ciders and a few other things including snacks like cheese and charcuterie, or pies. For me the highlight was the presence of a vendor selling delicious oysters and spot prawns: The Wandering Mollusk. Great surprise that really enhanced the experience.
With it being a super hot day, not much can beat a cider tasting. I have been here several times in the past and always enjoyed the large tasting flight. Enjoyed all of them, but picked 3 to buy full bottles of. If you a are in Victoria, you need to visit Sea Cider.
The atmosphere on the patio was great. Attentive staff.
The flight of cider was excellent. The food, specifically the chicken pie, was disappointing. for the price I expected better, but it was inconsistently warm and obviously microwaved. It came very quickly but I would have rather waited and had it heated in an oven. I'll certainly be back, but for the cider.
