The food at Fox & Monocle Cafe was delicious! It rivals any 5 star dining experience across Canada. The dishes were creative, beautiful and incredibly tasty. That atmosphere was relaxed and service staff were lovely. Absolutely a must try!
I picked up their strawberry pie for dinner with friends yesterday. I had never had a strawberry pie before so thought I would try it. When I lifted the box with the pie, I noticed how heavy it was. There was a reason…the pie had lots of the most delicious strawberry filling. The lattice pastry on top was beautiful. This dessert was a real hit and I will for sure buy it again and try their other desserts.
Wonderful flavours and fantastic dockside setting. We had the tomato salad and smoked salmon as starters, followed by the pollenta and fish pie. The plates were all gorgeous and delicious. Make sure to save room for desert, the chocolate tart is a world-beater.
Went as a group of four. REALLY had a good time. The food was fantastic and the restaurant very cozy. Our server was Leonie and she is very good at her job. We will definitely be back and because of it's quaint location it will be a great surprise for friends. Thanks very much.
Easily among the top 5 restaurants I've been to on Vancouver island. The menu takes classic dishes and pushes them into a modern and adventurous space. I had the cod pie (which was one of the best fish dishes I'd had), saurkraut crackers, in-house smoked salmon. Simply outstanding
This place is a walkable distance to the ferries and perfect for a one sailing wait. Or better yet come here just because.
