We contracted Gavin to do a major electrical refit on our new-to-us 42 foot sailboat. We wanted to switch the old flooded lead acid batteries to lithium and install an inverter as well as bring the boat's electrical system up to current standards. Gavin met us at our boat and spent an approrpiate amount of time listening to our needs, then asking questions about what other things we might want for the future such as solar. He also spent time getting to know what we wanted from our boat. He then researched options in the marketplace and put together a proposal for an all Victron system (800 Ah batteries, 3 kW inverter) plus separate starter battery, DC-DC charger, all minor electrical upgrades, and a high output Balmar alternator with Wakepseed voltage regulator.

As you can imagine, this work was not inexpensive. It was done EXTREMELY well though, and Gavin communicated clearly with us at all stages. The installation is neat, clean, and Gavin provided a clear wiring diagram for ourselves and any future contractors that might work on the boat. The work was done on schedule with one minor extension for an unforeseen warranty issue with one of the batteries. The work was also done in keeping with the cost estimate Gavin provided. Gavin was able to provide hardware at a price equal to or below the best prices I could find online in all cases. We are thrilled with the system; it is so much more capable than the old system.

I would not hesitate to recommend Gavin's work for any project you might have. We are already contracting him to do more work on the boat moving and upgrading the electronics and adding in the solar that we had wanted.
