John Pang in my opinion offers easily the best stereo repair service in the city. He is very experienced, incredibly knowledgeable, and totally honest. Pangco is the only place I will ever take my audio equipment from now on. Johns service is also very very fast, and really affordable. Perfect 5 STARS!!!
Thx John
Jon Graham
This guy knows his stuff and doesn't mess around. Extremely knowledgeable, highly competent and honest with an amazingly quick turn around time for repairs. I brought an obscure, heavy-duty pipe inspection camera to him and he was able to get me going again in 24 hours. Shop rates were very reasonable considering the expertise involved and expedited repair time. There were virtually no costs incurred for loss of use of my broken equipment. 10/10 will go there again
John had my bicycle charger repaired in under 24hrs. I highly recommend him for all repairs to any circuit boards or delicate electronic components.
Yeah, you can YouTube it... Or you can have John fix it for you at a good price.
I am extremely satisfied with the service I received from John at Pangco Electronic Services. I was in a bit of a bind and he was helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. In my opinion he went above and beyond. He explained his process of repair which allowed me to suggest further alterations so the final product could be more useful to me.
I was referred to John by a local electrical supply store - I had been calling around trying to find a shop that does repairs. I needed a charging cable repaired for my solar power station, the “Aimtom 300w PowerPal Rocker,” as the company has neglected to respond to my warranty request and all attempts to contact them.
The cable was originally constructed with low-quality materials: internally, the positive wires detached; and externally the plastic housing for the part of the cord that plugs into the 12v lighter outlet in the car simply shattered immediately after I unthreaded the housing to inspect the wires inside. I made it work temporarily with a lot of electrical tape, but that simply didn’t hold because the plastic housing was in several pieces and everything would come loose inside the lighter outlet.
John was able to pick up high-quality parts to replace the broken plastic housing, he added an extra foot of length to my existing cable, and he reinforced the section between the old cable and the new one. Overall, he did this in under 5 hours (I showed up near the end of the day, he had to go pick up wholesale parts, and the next morning it was complete).
I hope that by sharing my review, I can encourage others to choose repair over replacement: repair shops like this are becoming less and less common but they are a skilled & resourceful local business that provides a more personal and efficient service to their community than an international corporation could any day. Not to mention the benefits of reducing waste during an undeniable climate crisis: a crisis that is linked directly to an economic system that encourages such a short manufacture-to-waste lifespan of products (electronics, clothing, furniture— you name it).
Also of note: John is a friend of Vanlifers— those who live this lifestyle by choice, and those who don’t. He is empathetic, kind, and understanding of the impacts of the housing crisis & I can’t say I’ve encountered this acknowledgement from anyone else (including the numerous auto repair shops at which I’ve spent thousands of dollars to keep my temporary home in good shape).
Thank you so much, John.
WOW! Where do I start!? This is someone who truly goes above and beyond. I thought our $2,000 a piece powered speakers that had both developed loud hums were either done for or would cost more to fix than they're worth. I brought them in to John and he spent countless hours researching how to fix them and where to get the parts. They're both working great now and are as good as new and for only a fraction of what I feared it would cost. After this experience, I'm a customer for life! Thank you John!
