Sandy created her lovely painting ‘Eternal’ as a commission for me to commemorate my late father. It was such a pleasure to deal with Sandy, she truly listened to me and she made sure to keep me involved as the painting progressed.
It was magical to see the piece of art come to life while she worked on it.
For me, this is more than a lovely picture on my wall. It is a reminder of my time with Dad during his last years. Dad and I saw Sandy’s work in a small gallery in Port Moody. Her paintings were breath-taking, and the day was fun. Dad pushed his walker and gamely climbed the few steps into the gallery, the two of us admired the art, and then we strolled down the street to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Looking at us together, one of the women at the restaurant said to me ‘I’d do anything to be with my Dad again’.
With this piece, those memories come alive, and in a way, I am with my own Dad again.
Thank you, Sandy, for this beautiful painting, it means the world to me, Marcia
