The SE team (Victoria) made it possible for our loved one to stay in her own home until she was 100 years old! We believe the secret to their success begins with their wonderful office team (Tara, Renate, Patti & Mari). In addition to being a case manager, Tara is also an excellent and very caring RN. The individuals who provided personal care and help with chores were also gems, and they patiently assisted our rather feisty loved one. We are thankful for the support of SE Victoria!
Having the SE Health care workers in 4 days a week to help my mother who has dementia, has given my family a much needed break and sense of relief knowing that she is being cared for and monitored. We never thought mom would accept care workers into her home but the kind caring personality won her over and she accepts them into her life. The reporting back to us on mom's behaviours of concern is much appreciated.
My two brothers and I continue to work with SE Health Home Care Services - Victoria Office. Together with the Saint Elizabeth team (over the past eight years or so) we look after and care for both my mother and father in the family home. The dynamic care needs of both of my parents has been met at each step of the way, giving us all peace of mind. So far this care plan has proven to be safer and more reasonable than other options...I encourage you to contact the office and see what they can do for you/your family.
Their Home Care service is fairly well done, but putting things back needs improvement. For my own personal safety, I have a night-light I leave plugged in so I can see things when I get up at night to use the bathroom, but every time a worker comes, that light gets pulled out to plug in the vacuum, and not put back when they're done.
