Sophie Lecavalier Photography

I know a lot of photographers do outdoor shoots, but I wasn't sure if I'd be comfortable/cold, or flexible to change dates with the weather at 35 weeks pregnant during the winter, so I searched for someone with an indoor studio and came across Sophie.
I had an amazing experience during my maternity shoot and newborn/family shoot!
Sophie was super nice, professional, and had a very comfortable studio...Not only did she have tons of outfits for me to choose from and different backgrounds, she was so great at directing how to pose, where to look... which I thought was the best part of working with her!
I was also very impressed with her setup for our newborn/family shoot - it felt like we entered a womb with the warmth and white noise! Sophie was amazing at making our baby, and myself and husband, feel super comfortable (she even allocating time and space for feeding and changing).
Our photos turned out great! Really happy I went with both maternity & newborn/family shoots :)

Extremely happy with Sophie Lecavalier's work. She was very sweet and patient with my daughter and didn't rush our session when she took a long time to fall asleep. She captured the details of my little one perfectly and I love the pictures I now have forever of this moment in time. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting beautiful pictures.

Sophie is the baby whisperer :) We booked a 3 hour newborn photo shoot and she was a pro handling our little guy the entire time. The whole experience was unexpectedly relaxing and very efficient. Her studio is well set up for babies and we really liked all the natural fibers she had to pick from for props!

Sophie has a beautiful inviting studio, was so wonderful with handling my 6 month old son, had great communication from beginning to end with me, and was reasonably priced for the amazing quality photos we received. Our maternity photo shoot turned into the nicest dates we’d had during our pregnancy. In the flurry of preparing for the arrival or our first child, Sophie gave us the opportunity to reconnect with each other. It felt very natural, wandering around one of our favorite spots in Victoria, with Sophie capturing the magic of the evening. She has a talent for gently guiding and encouraging couples to embrace the moment and made us feel like rock stars! We followed with a newborn session a month later. Sophie’s studio is serene and cozy, offering choices of beautiful hand-crafted props for your session and patience when baby was hungry or needed a fresh diaper.
