The food was perfect. Home made pasta and served wit salt spring island mussles and locally sourced prawns. Steelhead trout with roasted potatoes and local veg! Would recommend.
Arrived at 7:30pm and was told immediately (not even a “hello” or “how can we help you”) that they were out of pizza (isn’t 7:30 a peak dinner slot?). Staff seemed rushed and we felt a bit unwelcome, as the server passed us off to another equally busy server to get us seated.
We sat on the patio which was picturesque, but service was a bit spotty and it felt like we were forgotten for the first bit. We waited 15 minutes before the server came to us with waters. The table beside us got a lot of attention from the server and they received drinks and then their salads before were even spoken to. Three stars because food was quite good and I can see the potential this place could have if we received the same level of service as others around us.
The food was quite delicious. Their pizzas were amazing and the service wonderful. Our server was very friendly and efficient. Every trip to Saltspring means a visit to Twig and Buoy. Thanks for being so delicious!!
Really great fresh local cuisine, with many ingredients sourced from the island or the greenhouse in the back. Potato of the day or vegetables of the day may sound plain — but they are fresh and perfectly cooked to go with your main.
